Standard Family Wills

Our ‘Standard Family Will’ service offers a comprehensive package for a good proportion of the population who require a will and whose situations are straight forward and uncomplicated.

  

Should you opt for this service we will:

• Take your will instructions but also discuss the implications of your choices and decisions to ascertain that they are correct, all at your own home or in our office.

• Discuss the distribution of your estate to spouse, next of kin or children and other beneficiaries where appropriate, including specific gifts be them material goods or financial.

• Include any funeral plans and preferences to ensure your wishes are fulfilled.

• Ensure that we provide you with a draft will in an agreed timescale, which we will go through with you, explaining fully.

• Provide you with a final copy for signing and witnessing, only when the content has been agreed. Your will is then sent to safe storage and you are provided with a storage certificate for retrieval purposes.

 

As stated, our service is comprehensive but there are certain exclusions. Certain wills require additional work and research and we reserve the right to charge extra for ‘Special Instructions’ such as:

• The gathering of further information which may be required for certain clauses.

• Wills that reduce exposure to Inheritance Tax.

• Wills that have gifts that fall beyond the parameters of usual circumstances that may be subject to contest and therefore require a further insurance policy.

• Any extra work generated by ‘Special Instructions’ will not be completed without prior agreement from the client.
